RETURNING........

Hi everyone.  Due to several requests I have decided to resume my Blog, which really is more like a journal of what is going on in my life.

Since I've been off the grid there have been a lot of things that have happened in my personal and public life.  I am still seeing the same man, although why I couldn't tell you.  If anyone else had treated me like he has, lying, not being a man of his word, etc, I would have said goodbye a long time ago.  Somehow I can't do that. Idiotic I know, but it is what it is.

He said he would be my escort to the Marine Corps Birthday Ball and of course I didn't believe he would show up.  I bet my other guy a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue ($160.00) that he wouldn't show up.  He bet he would.  Well he did and cost me that bottle of scotch.  The man is totally unpredictable.  Of course he tells me if he was vanilla I wouldn't like him.  I told him I'd be happy if if he wasn't Rocky Road.

He came to see me last week, before he left for the East Coast  for two week, and as he walked in he said, "I don't know what the draw is, but I can't not see you....seems to be a mutual fatal flaw. He came around 10:30 a.m. and was leaving from LA at four pm.  He still had to finish packing and had a car picking him up. I had made Senate Bean Soup and we had lunch here.  I told him he and his best friend acted like they were thirteen with indiscriminate dicks walking around. He is totally the ultimate bad boy, being ex jock, again my fatal flaw, although at one point when we where fighting about what he did I told him I didn't want twenty four seven.  I said I had taken care of one broken down football player and didn't need another one.  He has not forgotten that statement and brings it up a lot. He has told me a million times that he wants to be casual, but after three years it is hard to keep that in mind, obviously for both of us.

Of course he will be gone for Valentine's Day but has promised to take me out the 16th to a new restaurant and dance place called Posch in Irvine.  Since the East Coast has been slammed with a blizzard and he was in Conneticut and headed for Maryland next week it is a debatable point if he gets back or not.  One thing for sure is nothing is for sure with him.

I spent most of December and half of January sick, but am so much better now,  thank heaven?  I've more or less resumed by activities with the Veterans.  I'm on a Committee for the return of the Hawaii/California State President Homecoming dinner for the Elks.  We are expecting four hundred plus people and a group of us spent most of the day last Thursday putting favors together.  Darling little black boxes that we filled with See's candies, liners, closed up and put a small black bow and sticker on the front.  Since I'm co-chair I now have them all in my office in boxes and will take them in the day we finish decorating the room.

My other male friend, who would like to have a relationship, has been taking me to dinner.  We do work on the Veterans committies and I find it relaxing to go out with him.  No pressure.  He has his own issues, don't we all, and we discuss a lot of things. He has a current girlfriend, which is good but   he is fascinated by my relationship with Bruno (the name my problem child wants to be called, he calls me LuSinDa.....spelled with the Sin not the cin.

I have met a lot of guys out and about, but no one has sparked my interest.  Not to mention they all have sex on the brains and think you should jump into bed at the blink of an eye.  Silly boys! Some of these men stand tall on their wallets, but money isn't everything.

March is going to be maintenance month for me physically.  A little nip tuck under my chin, a dermatology appoiontment to smooth out my chest area.....I swear I was hung in my past life as I can't stand things around my neck.  My icky hammertoe correction with the Orthopedic guy and hopefully that will be it.

I'll continue with this Blog and try to keep people up to date with my sometimes interesting and sometime boring life.  There is a lot more to relate, but for the first time out of the box for a while I think I will stop now.
